Julie has been an active member for many years and has taken principal parts in many Pantomimes.
Rachel first joined the society as a teenager and has taken part in many productions. She is now Vice Chair.
Christine is our Pantomime & Festival Co-ordinator and has been here from the start, having performed in our very first Panto in 1978! From the age of 17 Christine has taken up various duties on the Committee but none more demanding than being the Co-ordinator!
Rene joined SVFC for the 1986 Panto Dick Whittington and appeared on stage in many principle roles for every production until 2009. She was the principle costume organiser of the May Day Festival from 1991 - 2009. Rene became Chairman in 1993, a position she held for 9 years, before becoming our President in 2011, a role she is very proud of, and hopes to continue to work for the success of the organisation for many years to come.
Angie is our Secretary and Pantomime Choreographer. She joined SVFC in 1997 for the show "Beauty & The Beast", then became a member of the Committee. Angie was Treasurer in 1999, then Chairperson from 2003 - 2009 had a brief break and then resumed the seat again in 2012 to 2017. Angie assisted with choreography on some of our earlier pantomimes and more recently has choreographed our pantomimes.
Barbara has been with us over 30 years and is a key figure in the Costume Dept! She did a great job directing our 2016 Pantomime - 'Jack and the Beanstalk'! Her first Principle role was in Jack and the Beanstalk in 1985, before joining the Committee in 1986 as Secretary. Since then she has been Treasurer, Panto Co-ordinator and also our FOH Manager for a few years. Barbara performed in many principle roles before moving onto directing.
Lesley first joined the organisation in 2004 for Cinderella. She has been a NODA member for over 20 years having been involved with CAMS previously. After joining the Committee Lesley became Festival Queen coordinator and has served as Vice Chair and Chair until 2020. She has also performed on stage, as Fairy Lilac in Sleeping Beauty, Duchess Greedy in Jack and the Beanstalk and the Genie of the Ring in Aladdin and other roles.
Rachel has been involved with our organisation for over 10 years and has been on stage many times, ranging from a Prince to a chicken! Rachel first joined the Committee in 2007 and has directed Robin Hood in 2014, Sinbad in 2015 and Cinderella in 2016. Robin Hood won the NODA Award for Best Panto in the North West.
Jonathan first joined us in 2004, and is now a member of the Committee. Jonathan has played many principle roles from an ugly sister, Abanazaar and the Sheriff of Nottingham. This year Jonathan played the Dame again - a role he seems to have become far too comfortable with! Both of Jonathan's children have been involved in the Pantomime, so it is a real family affair!
Carole is our Treasurer and runs an efficient operation! She first started helping with the make-up for the Panto in 2004, after her daughter Beth joined the children's chorus. She took over the role of Treasurer in 2008, where she enjoys the funds coming in but not going out!
Anne first joined the Committee in 1983. Since then she has undertaken roles in advertising, supervising the Festival Queen and was Secretary for several years. Anne has been involved with every pantomime to date starting out as make-up supervisor until joining the chorus in 1991.
Bea joined the Festival Committee over 20 years ago and has performed in the adult chorus, been make-up supervisor and then moved to front of house team. For the last few years she has been in charge of ticket sales and advertising.
Sharon joined the Committee in 2012 and soon became involved with her first Shavington Pantomime as a children's Chaperone, which she has continued to do ever since. She assisted Christine with organising entertainment and attractions for the Village Festival and loves being part of the other events organised by the Committee such as the barn dance, and the opportunity to run games stalls at other local events.
Erica is currently our Chair having first joined Shavington pantomime make-up team 24 years ago when her daughter wanted to "tread the boards". Her daughter left after 4 years but Erica is still here, assisting our wonderful make-up team!
