Committee
President
Rene Hancock
Rene joined SVFC for the 1986 Panto Dick Whittington and appeared on stage in many principle roles for every production until 2009.
She has been the Wardrobe Coordinator for the annual pantomime since 1991. She was also the principle organiser of the annual festival between 1991 and 2009.
Rene became Chair in 1993, a position she held for 9 years, before becoming our President in 2011, a role she is very proud of, and hopes to continue to work for the success of the organisation for many years to come.
Chair
Erica Wood
Erica is our current chair, having accepted the position at the 2020 AGM, after previously serving as vice chair.
She became part of SVFC in 1994 when her daughters joined the chorus, and helped with makeup before becoming supervisor in 2000 until 2019. Now, costumes photography and make up are some of the areas she contributes to.
Vice Chair
Rachel Anderson
Rachel has been our vice chair since 2020, after re- joining the pantomime in 2018.
Rachel’s first pantomime was in 2003 when she was a teenage. She did 4 pantomimes with the society, before taking a break.
Rachel came back with her then 8 year old son in 2018, first helping in the make up room and dressing the dame into her many changes. In 2019, Rachel decided to get back on stage alongside her son whilst keeping up her roles as Make Up Supervisor & Child Protection Officer and has loved every minute of it.
Rachel loves being part of the SVFC team she says "We are just one big wild family. I’m extremely proud of what we achieve each year, as a small society to not only put on our pantos, we also have so much fun running the village festival. We love being part of the Shavington community’
Rachel’s proudest moment since coming back is her son's first main role as ‘grouchy’ one of the dwarves in the 2020 pantomime Snow White.

Lesley Dargan
Retirement bought Lesley to Shavington after living in Stockport all her life. She was determined to get involved in village life, to meet new people and to make new friends. Through joining the chorus for Robinson Crusoe in 2022, she achieved all of these goals. Lesley is now a member of the committee, something she thoroughly enjoys being part of!
